Advanced CHKDSK

I've had this problem for a while. It is not serious but it annoys me.
When I defrag the disk, I receive a message concerning "Files that
cannot be defragmented." The file in question is:

\Documents and Settings\Pete.OFFICE\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5\X0CN950T\google[1]

If I search for "X0CN950T" or "google[1]", I find nothing. If I search
for "Content.IE5", I do not find one in the above directory. I have
executed CHKDSK/F many times, with no result. Is there a more
advanced option for CHKDSK that I should use? Or does a third-
party product exist that would help? I am running XP Home with SP2
and all the latest updates. Thanks.

Empty your TIF (Temporary Internet Files) before you defrag.
You can do this cleanup and other recommended cleanups using the Disk
Cleanup tool included with Windows XP.

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.

I have done that many times. I knew about that utility already.
Any other possibilities?

Also, it occurred to me to simply move a file named goggle[1] to
the directory I mentioned and then see what happened (and then
delete it and re-run chkdsk). But the Temporary Internet Files
directory seems to be hopelessly read-only locked. I'm the only
user on this PC and so I have admin privileges, but I cannot move
a folder into that directory even if I change the permission of the
directory away from read-only. Any hints on this approach?

Don't defrag all the time. It does little good and exercises
the hard disk.

might try
make a zero byte file same name save it to a temp folder
then from autoexec.bat
copy c:\folder\filename c:\Documents and Settings\Pete.OFFICE\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE\X0CN950T\google[1]

then delete the added autoexec.bat line after you boot
