I'm considering getting the lg c4 oled tv, and would maybe like a sound system of some sort for it
At the moment I have some very old surround sound, my cats keep knocking over the speakers and id maybe like something more modern; problem is I don't have a whole lot of room, currently I can't even have the speakers behind me or to my side at all, all speakers are infront of me
What would a good sound system be to get the best audio for games and occasional movies to pair with the c4, i can get the following for 50% off but am hearing mixed opinions elsewhere, what are your reccomendations?

What are you currently working with? If possible(and it can migrate over to your new TV), I'd exercise the option to get some good/high quality speaker wire and extend the positioning of the speakers, to put them in their places and get the most out of your surround setup. I've done this with pretty much all of my Creative Cambridge FPS speaker systems, I've had the pleasure of owning since the 2000's.

The biggest issue I have is space, my room isn't massive, there is no where behind me i could possibly setup the speakers, nor really to my sides *from where I sit to play on tv* I got this surround I have for free but just can't set it up as it should be, which is why the speakers are mostly infront of me

I recently purchased some Edifier speakers, and a subwoofer from the same as an add on for a "2.1" system.

I caught these on sale. They are self powered and sound really nice within a certain range of arrangement/seating distance. I made a review and comment thread here if you are interested:

TL;DR being that for everyday media consumption they sound great. My end all opinion is they aren't awesome for being really "turn it up" loud but really shine in sound quality for what they are priced and within the understood capabilities.
