advice needed

hello. i posted this in rec.games.video.arcade as well but thought i would
try here as well.

i have a 4-player atari gauntlet 2 arcade machine. when i place a coin in
either slot 1 or 3, a credit goes to both player 1 and 3. this happens with
slot 2 and 4. is there a way to stop this from happening so that each coin
slot only credits the relevant player? is there a switch that does this?

any help or advice gratefully received. thanxs.

should be a dip switch setting on the logic board. try obtaining a
manual online..it should show how to set up the mechs

hello there.

i managed to find a manual for a gauntlet 1 machine but not gauntlet 2. i
guess they are quite similar. it makes no mention of switching the
coin/credit settings for player 1-4, there is lots of schematics but i dont
know much about how to read them unfortunately. anyone know what i should be
looking for? cheers

managed to sort it out.

a friend who has a bit more know-how than me when it comes to wiring noticed
that coin slot 1 + 3, 2+4 had a wire between them that didnt seem to be
doing anything but tie them together, so we snipped them and that broke the
connection between the coin slots. now they all work independently of each
other. thanxs for the help though. cheers.
