OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Intel i5-3550, ASRock Z77 Pro3

I've been looking at HIS IceQ X H785QN2G2M Radeon HD 7850, but that almost seems like more than I need

Would still like to keep within the 7000 class, but I'm new to this game and appreciate any input on anything you might be able to offer, even ranging to the CPU and mobo.

Overall, I'm looking for a PC that won't be quickly outdated!

Hi. If you're willing to consider that card for over $200, then why not go with this better card instead?

Since you're not in a hurry, there may be a better deal on the HD 7870 or one from other websites. The GTX 660 costs even less but I don't think you're interested.

I'm keeping my options open, so your input is appreciated! I'll look into the GTX 660 a bit more, but like I said, I'm new into this and don't want to overspend my needs.

Hd 7850 is minimum gtx 660 or hd 7870 would be future proof for that resolution.

If you're looking at the HD 7850 2GB which usually starts at around $175 after rebate, then I think either the HD 7870 or GTX 660 at around $200 or less is money well spent at your resolution.

The 7850 is a very capable card. It's a beast overclocker too! But if you are interested in physx or cuda cores. I would go with the 660.
