That is a pretty tight budget, but if you re-use your Case, SSD and PSU, this is something that might work

You should not be able to significantly overclock a non K I5-6500.
Your strongest upgrade on that motherboard would be a I7-7700K which sells for $150 or more.
That is not a great deal when a I3-12100 which is about twice the capability sells for <$150.
Buy a B660 DDR4 DDR4 motherboard with 4 ram slots for about $100.
Your ram will be fine.
Here is a review of the 12100:

As to graphics card upgrades, the remaining $350 in your budget could buy a3050/3060 class card.
But take a look at the new Intel ARC770 which competes:

See if you can find reviews which include the games you play.

Thank you for the parts suggestions.

I noticed this video where he basically overclocks my system:
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK94qZLW1VI

He is getting more than 26% in Cinebench. I am cool with a 1/5 improvement with my current system.

In my case would you suggest any particular cooler - air/water? I am still rocking the stock one.
