Its been awhile since I've put a PC together, and after some research heres what I've come up with. I plan on doing mostly gaming, with some DV editing as well.

Case - Kingwin KT-424-BK ( Seems like a solid case )
PSU - Kingwin KWI-450W ( This should be enough power I think)
MB - Intel 875p
CPU - P4 3.0c
RAM - 1MB Kingston KHX 3200AK2

Newegg lists the combined price of these components at $829.00. My current system has a 60gig HD and a SB audigy 5.1, so I'll just transfer those over. I'm still unsure about video card, I have a GF3 Ti500. I might just keep that and upgrade to a 9800 next year when the price comes down.

Does this sound like a good mix of components?

Thanks

Id definately change the Motherboard. The intel board is good, but an MSI 865 PE Neo2 is the fastest and easiest to overclock. There are like 3 different models of this board on www.msicomputer.com and I beleive newegg carriers them all. Pick the one with the features you need and get that one.

I've been thinking about this.
(parts in () I have)
(Standard Case)
(ATI 9700 Pro Built by ATI)
(400W PSU)
ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe MB
P4 2.4 GHZ 800MHZ FSB CPU
1 GB (2x512mb) Kingston HyperX pc3500 RAM
2x 80 GB Seagate SATA HD's Raid 1
the rest, I dont care about. I need to play everquest (EQ2 too)and flight sims. BTW, anyone know if MMORPGs performance is slowed by an undedicated LAN connection to the northbridge? IE does AGP port use PCI bus?
