Hi All,

I am creating a new PC (currently using my uni-days macbook pro) - which has been giving me trouble lately and can't display 4K..

I was wondering if the below specs for my build would be ideal for home PC doing mainly web browsing, watching videos and occasional photoshopping. Also may buy a few games planning to play in 2K.

I ultimately want to replace my current macbook pro (early 2013 edition) which starts heating up and making noise when I have skype on while watching films etc. and just generally not fast enough

Monitor: Asus MG28 (bought + uses freesync and is 4K) (£388.93)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 (£132.68)
Processor: Intel i7 7600K (£307)
Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 480 (£228.53)
RAM: Crucial Ballistic Sport 16GB 2400 (£70.54)
Fan: Cool Master Hyper 212 Evo (£29.98)
SSD: Either the Evo 850 or Sansdisk SSD Plus (£66-£90)
HDD: WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive (£43)
PSU: Not sure, any advice appreciated :p
Case: NZXT S340 Mid-Tower (bought £59.98)

What would need to be changed, if anything, or could some costs come down?

Solution
It is a well balanced build, if you want to save money you can go with much cheaper motherboard and i7 6700 without K which can't be overclocked.

Thanks for your post :) - do you think the rest of the build is okay? Is it quite stable, lacking anywhere or overkill in any way?
