MSI R9 280X Gaming OC, amd 6350, 8gb ram unsure on vengeance or blue x, no need for hard drive or optical drive, need advice on motherboard and case

You're also going to need a cpu, and it seems you'd want to go with AMD on this one, if your budget is good enough, try grabbing an AM3+ Motherboard and an FX processor, and a case is all personal preference, get whichever case you want, just make sure it can fit it all.

i meant the FX 6350 when i said amd 6350. I don't know much about motherboards so thats what i needed most advice on

the motherboard depends if you are overclocking or not.

If you are-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514

If you are not-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131872

The case depends on your personal taste, although the case needs to be in ATX form factor to fit the motherboards listed above

are there any mini / micro atx motherboards you suggest?

Yes there are micro atx am3+ motherboards however they sport a 760g chipset which does not offer much

Micro atx Motherboard- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131795

Unfortunately there are not any mini itx am3+ motherboards available
