I have a brand new Gigabyte B450M DS3H mother board.

I want to put this motherboard to good use. I have parts from an old computer that no longer works. What can I salvage or buy to make this into a workable computer not for gaming, just net surfing and watching videos. Nothing heavy. It should be able to handle having multiple tabs open.

The parts that I have are these...

Thanks.

I put in the new CPU, but can't stand windows. I continually get a blue screen that says "your device ran into a problem and needs to restart". Critical process died. I tried reseating the RAM. Doesn't seem to work.

"Downloaded the latest version" doesn't mean much. Did you INSTALL the latest BIOS version or did you just "download" it?

What is the current version that is running right now?

It may be necessary to reinstall Windows or have you already tried reinstalling Windows?

B64d is the latest version. I tried reinstalling Windows and it won't let me. Not sure if it's a compatibility issue. This is the first time this has happened. Everything is basically new except the RAM. Peripherals seem to be connected.

Windows 10. I tried by dvd. It just continues to tell me that a process died and it keeps restarting. I tried re-installing by dvd and it tells me that it's already installed in the computer.

Use a flash drive. Follow the guide at the following link. There will be a few screens that are somewhat different in the latest build version when you install but the important parts at the beginning of the guide right up until after you click "install" once you select the custom option and delete all the partitions, should be the same.
