CPU easily. Quad cores struggle now in some games. I’m on a 2060S which is a smidge below a 2070 and I’m running 1440 60+ average on pretty much everything maxed. The only games I have to turn a couple things down on is the new Star Wars and even then it’s from ultra to high.

Alright thank you. What CPU would you recommend he's been looking at getting a 9900k since he only uses his system for Gaming and Watching YouTube/Twitch Streams.

Well put, the 9900K is a good gaming CPU but that's it, will be outdated in a year time, the AM4 will last longer, at least one more gen!

So If I went with the 3700x over the 9900k will his gaming performance be optimal at 1440p 144hz? He's always been an Intel person so I'd like to know why exactly the 3700x Is better over the 9900k
