Sorry I'm late on this one -just got back from some fishing! Got into a good buzzbait bite and caught about 10 fish - one around 3.5lbs. Anywhoo - That sounds like a heckuva deal for the EE and that mobo. You could even test both mobos to see if one will OC better than the other. On the other hand i'd like to see you take a Venice for a spin around the block! You should see about getting some sponsors to help fund some of your OC mania! You don't have to go for the typical CPU sponsor...look at mobo or RAM sponsors, too. For now I'd say go for the EE, break the record, sell the EE/mobo and go Venice.

Why don't you just get another 3.4ghz and solder the two CPU's toghether and use dual core, also, while your at it, enable the multiplyer unlocked to exploit to full potential. Might take another simple mod to mobo chipset for copatibility, but so what. If you need more detailed specific technical blueprints, PM SoD!

They were really aggressive! I was just working some grass lines and they were coming up and hitting solid. I only got 1 of the fish on the trailer hook. Even with as well as they were hitting I missed about 10 bites. [sad]

Which way did you decide to go on the processor issue?!

Im going to think about it tonight and decide in the morning. The same guy that live in Jackson that has the COMBO deal also has a single 3.73 so Im going to see what he will sell it for.

Don't you think you could get a better overall price when selling the mobo/cpu together? I would think so, especially if it's to an enthusiast and you can tell about the OC speeds you've hit on that particular combo.

Its hard to say. I still dont know how much he is going to let the CPU go for. When I was in college one of the jobs that i had was selling cars. The owner of the dealership always said "There's a Butt for every seat" I guess the same applies to computers however it may be a very small market and hard to find the right person. Im just not sure.

Is that how much juice he feeds that CPU? Mine doesnt like alot of voltage of course mine wasnt running that fast. 1.6 was what I benched at. Which CPU did he set the record with? Was it the 3.73?

Fugger, what exactly is a Q-sample or pre-release CPU. More to the point what are the disadvantges if any. I can pick up a 3.73 EE OEM fora good price. The guy told me it was a Q-sample.
