Hi All,

Firstly a good to whoever is reading this thread.

I have a plan of upgrading my GPU in or around April, 2019. (Yep you read that correct:D)

My Current Rig is almost amped to the specs below:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 2nd Gen 2700 3.2Ghz
Motherboard: MSI x470 Gaming Plus
CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster MasterLiquid 240
RAM: G-Skill TridentZ 16GB (8GBx2) 3000Mhz
GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4GB OC
Storage: 250GB SSD (Samsung EVO 970 Sata)+3TB(2TB+1TB) SeagateBarracuda 7200RPM
PSU: Seasonic M12II 620W Full Modular
Display: Samsung C24F390 24" Curved Monitor (Single Display)

Presently MSI GTX 1080/GTX 1080 TI are available in India at around Rs. 65000 onwards.

I wish to add maybe 2 more monitors of the same model as above so as to setup a triple monitor display.

The monitors can be brought in later maybe 2020 or so.

However, I want opinions on the GPU.

Would a MSI GTX 1080 TI Gaming X 11G or a MSI GTX 1080 TI DUKE 11G, be worth buying in 2019 and manage to handle games for a good 5 years or so. 1080TI coz if we do get GTX 11 series launching this year, the 1000 series should be getting a price drop hopefully by next year.

All suggestions are welcome. Any other graphics cards model you might have in mind please feel free to suggest.

Wait for the newer GPUs coming out, but also go take a look at 27" displays compared to 24." I couldn't believe the difference when I got my 27" monitor and had it sitting next to my old 24." Those three inches are incredible. The old monitor seemed like it was half the size of the new one.

Hard to tell. We have to see what the performance of 11 series will be. 1170 may be faster than 1080 and be cheaper at the same time, so only time will tell. For now you can only be guessing.

I bought my monitor just a month back...so not really thinking of upgrading it anytime soon.

Just wondering if i do use only one monitor, shouldn't the 1080 TI Gaming X be enough.... I mean 11GB of VRAM... goodness gracious :D :p
