Hello Everyone
I have some questions to ask and i need your help
Today my brother played a game called Dragon Age Inquisition for a few hours and he said his computer was turn off suddenly like the power was lost.
So i suspect something inside is burned out and i am sure the CPU must be dead, since he took out all of the components inside his PC and he complaint about seeing blue color marks behind the CPU where the pins is at.
But he refused to believe me 🙁 and he strongly believed that his PSU is dead, and i said "It shouldn't be the PSU since you could turn on your PC when using it" His PC could turn on just no display on the screen.
And guess what ? While i was at work, he went ahead and took out my PSU from my computer without permission 🙁, He said just wanted to test whether if his PSU is dead or not.
So in the end, it wasn't his PSU that stupid idiot, It was his CPU that's dead since he bought a new CPU and it works! :/
And of course he gave me back my PSU and he managed to make a mess inside my computer as well 🙁
But due to me having OCD, Now i am really afraid to install my PSU back and use it 🙁
Because my brother's PC was struck by a thunder before when it was raining, and when the rain has subsided, he found out that his ethernet port was toasted and his PC was unable to turn on.
But he managed to found a way to turn on his PC, the way was to plug a external USB device and his PC can be turned on, without it his PC won't turn on at all. It acts like a key now lol. Yeah it's a miracle that his PC is still alive.
TLDR
My brother PC was struck by a thunder before, and it survived and then he toast his CPU when playing Dragon Age and he used my PSU to test and now i am afraid on reusing my PSU back as it might shock and toast my components 🙁
I wonder if it's safe to use my PSU back? It's a 650w PSU from Enermax.
