The only product of theirs I have ever owned is an Ipod Nano 5th gen. It will be the last after experiencing Itunes.

Apple is not a hardware company... they don't even own a single production plant.

"Is Apple Invincible?"

Of course not. Just look at Nokia's demise and you should learn that there is no such thing as an invincible corporation.

Finding clueless crowd and learning how to milk it well is indeed invincible tactics.
But others are learning too. Neither Samsung nor HP have micro SD slots in upcoming tablets. That's a big step forward for them, and, undoubtely, for us, the customers, since it's more like apple.

[citation][nom]ralfthedog[/nom]1. The iPhone 4 gets very good reception depending on your relation to a cell phone tower (better than most Android, even if you hold it the wrong way). I quite often need to loan my iP4 to people who I work with because they can't get signal. (Again, while the iP4 does get better reception with the same signal strength, it was mostly because of location.)2. I have no problem reading my screen in direct sunlight. It does not shut down at 70F. I did have it shut down when the temperature was 110, however, it was not just in direct sunlight, it was in a car with the windows rolled up. After I brought it outside and let it cool off, it ran fine. (I was worried I had damaged the battery, however, I have had no loss of battery life. Sometimes You get lucky.) My company has mostly dumped our Windows computers because we have found, Macs have far fewer problems with software and hardware. We have had far better results using iPhones than other products and we have found the iPad to be one of the most useful products we have. At this point, the only non Apple products we use are our Linux servers. We do have some people who choose to use Microsoft Word on the mac, however, Open Office is our preferred solution. People tend to exaggerate problems with Apple devices and ignore those on other platforms. If one in 10,000 people have an issue with Apple, it makes headline news on all networks.[/citation]

1. This is the biggest joke of the day. If what you said is true, then all the people that I know with iGarbage... iPhone4 are lying ? when they call me, I can't hear crap from them. before you want to blame this on AT&T. some of them are using unlocked version(NOT JAILBREAK) on T-mobile and it's still having horrible reception. so funny that when we meet up sometime, I have to lend them MY they call it ugly garbage phone so they can make some "calls"

2. You have magic eyes then, cuz my father has iPad1 and there is no way he and I can read it under direct sunlight. As for the overheating I have yet to experience that, why? cuz me/father can't read it under direct sunlight, why bother bring it out ?

3. Your company is an idiot. if you allow anything to run of course the computers gonna get fuxked. Most so called "IT" department ppl can't do their job properly these days. Funny thing is I have a feeling your company's "OMG NO VIRUS MACS" are all infected with the trojan that Apple tried to remove 4 times but still failed ... and you morons just don't know it. hahahahahahahaha

It's not people picking on Apple, the problem is how ignorant Apple owners are, they just love to bury their head into the sand and tell themselves "I don't have a problem"

Wow.. another seriously Apple biased article from Toms... Beginning to think a chunk of their advertising expenditures pays for your salaries. The iSheep are the only reason this miserable excuse for a company stays in existance. And sorry but there are dozens of superior tablets at the iPads price range.

Hell, they weren't even the first do to tablets. They were just the first with a following brainwashed enough to eat it up.

Just gotta think.. Like at the M$ Zune. Hardware superior to the iPod at the same price point, just not the advertising or following to support it. However the uninformed iSheep can't delve into the technical details, it's beyond their mental capacity.

LOL, Apple and innovation, innovation stopped after the first iPhone.#Samsung Galaxy S2

Looks like even after the rivals close to copying Apple products they are still far from cathing up on Apple profit levels. So, in the end inovation does not nessaraly need to countinue after Iphone.

Apple isnt successful because of their products, they are successful because of their cult. The fans feeling like they are apart of something noone has is why Apple is where it is.

How any company can be profitable and successful like APPLE:

make devices that are almost usable and relavent, then market the $hit out of it. Then you tell the masses that cool and famous people use them. Then you tell them that individuals who don't conform to societal norms use them. then you have a copious amount of people purchasing your products because they think that they are free thinkers and open minded and trendy and cool. when in fact they are the same dim witted conformists they profess not to be.

Honestly I think I hate the people and ideology more at this point than the company and the products. If only I could devise a virus that would ... . . ..

BTw there are some decent Mac users. Typcially the ones who use a Mac to do real Dev or Creative work. Those people understand much more then just pointing and clicking and have my respect but the rest are nubs with too much money to burn.

Most users would be fine with Ubuntu on a dual core system with 2gb of memory. Most people use their computers to watch porn and surf the web.

THe End

Have you looked at SGS II specs? It's literally stuffed with features and powerful hardware, most of which can't be found on an iPhone. USB-on-the-Go, HDMI, unlocked from the beginning (at least here in Asia xD), 1.2 GHz dual-core (which Apple only plans in iPhone 5... they're gonna call it "magical", but that's magic a year late)... it kicks iPhone's ass in all aspects. Oh yeah, and it has a memory card slot.

Before anyone makes a stupid comment about how iOS kicks ass and Android sucks, let me tell you this: I pay for HARDWARE. I saw many people ranting about how bad and retarded Symbian is and how "there's not enough apps for it", but it let me use the phone's hardware to the full and I never needed an "app" to do something - everything was already there: camera, BT, Wi-Fi, music player... I don't see why a phone should be judged by the amount of 100KB useless little programs that you can download on it. Oh, look, this is Facebook "app"!!! And this is mail client "app"! And this is app!..

..poor bastards forgot that there's such a thing as a web browser.

Just take a look at this: http://www.apple.com/iphone/features/ They market an e-book reader app and standard mail client, photo viewer and so on as phone's features! Now look here: http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxys2/html/specification.html THIS is how you rate a phone - by looking at the hardware and connectivity interfaces.

Back to the topic... is Apple invincible? Only time will tell. So far, iSheep and iSue provide more than enough money for Apple. And, as it was shown before many times, it's not a matter of coming up with a superior product to beat Apple. Windows 7, SGS II, Asus Eee Pad or Galaxy Tab, a lot of laptops, custom-built laptop and ANY music player (if you still carry these buggers... 'cause nowadays phones are good enough for that) are better than Apple products in all aspects - hardware, price and design (anyone who says that SGS II is copied from iPhone - FALCON PUNCH, 'cause only an idiot will mix up the two... besides, how do you expect a touch screen phone to look different? Only Nokia pulled that off with N8 and N9) As for "user experience", if you think it's really worth paying double for, in spite of inferior hardware, go ahead - whoever made a post before calling most of the people idiots was definitely right about you.

"The problem with this strategy is that Apple will always remain one step ahead of its rivals"
partially true, they did make smart phones/tablets popular but now they are playing catch up to Android, copying the 4G idea, 3D, ability to use Widgets instead of only icons. I'd have to say there are just as many areas they are copying/catching up as there are areas they are innovating.

Appealing to sheep does not make a company invincible. If the eyes of the sheep can be opened, then Apple is nothing more than a turd floating in the toilet.

The only cult here is Apple haters.

Unless you consider mainstream to be a cult.

Lets face it. Apple won the phone and tablet wars for at least another 2 years. Mainstream customers aren't concerned about having the highest possible RAM on a phone. They don't care about having the latest 1GHz CPU and the greatest GPU. They care about high build quality and ease of use. These characteristics are still surprisingly led by Apple. Until HP/HTC/Samsung/Google under stands this, than we shall see the tides turn. Until then, it looks like the iPhone is still growing in terms of sales.

It also helps that there is a physical location to bring your device when it fails or when you don't understand a feature.

Apple isn't leading because people want to be 'cool' and copy celebrities. Results are showing that satisfaction with iOS devices is far greater than Android devices. This could only mean that Android is still far too complicated and buggy to use for the average consumer.

Can someone please show me exactly where this "innovation" is that Apple keeps getting praised for? To create the iPhone, they added a microphone to the iPod Touch. SmartPhones existed long before this happened. They created a tablet, more than a decade after the "tablet" market first started and only after Microsoft showed off the first keyboard-exempt tablet. The only thing Apple does, is overcharge and file for patents so vague they actually cover how nearly every electronics device on the market works.

If it was overpriced, it wouldn't capture over 60% of the market.

Lets face it. The iPhone and iPad are priced reasonably. The Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1 are both priced very similarly to the iPad. Most major phones are sold in the $200 range.

Their CPU products are a different story, which is probably why they capture less than 10% of the market (although that is a completely different matter as most CPUs sold are under $1000).

But given that this is an iOS article, its pointless to talk about the CPU products.
