Question After overclocking, why does my CPU run at 5 GHz in multi-core test but only reach a maximum of 4.90 GHz in single-core test?

I overclocked my processor, which runs at 4.3 GHz, to 5 GHz using Intel XTU by disabling the E-cores and Hyper-Threading. Everything is running smoothly. My CPU was already consuming 75W with E-cores and HT disabled, and after overclocking, I can run 5 GHz stably for long periods with a 73W power limit. However, my main question is: while it can run at 5 GHz in multi-core tests, why does it run at only 4.9 GHz during single-core tests?

Thanks in advance to everyone!

It could be that you have an AVX offset in the BIOS maybe? Drops the multiplier down during overclocking when certain AVX workloads are being used for single core.

Did you overclock directly in the bios or did you use something like XTU?
