I recently installed 2x8 sticks of ram in my gigbyte mother board (GIGABYTE GA-AB350-Gaming AMD RYZEN AM4 B350 SMART FAN 5 HDMI M.2 SATA USB 3.1 Type-A ATX DDR4 Motherboard, on amazon) . The splash screen freezes, this dosnt happen when i remove one of the ram sticks, i know the sticks are in the right 2 slots because if i spam f2 and look at the settings for ram it says i have 16000mb of ram. i used the bios to activate xmp and that still didnt help. right now the only solution is to go back to 8 gb. im going to update my bios and try again but i dont think thats the problem.

Ok i solved it, i think one of the slots was fd up cause when i put it in the 2 and 4 slots instead of 1 and 3 it worked and booted fine, the system says there is 16 gb of ram too so i think its all working
