agp 4x video

I'm looking to upgrade my video and am looking for advise on the best 4x agp card. Just installed a power leap to bump my processor to 2.6mHz (bus speed=400)and ram @ 768. Would like something that is forward compatible. *new to this asylum, pls use lubricate liberally* Thanks

AGP 8x cards are compatible with 4x AGP slots. And the best card avaible right now is the X800Pro which you could get for $445 at <A HREF="http://www.Newegg.com" target="_new">http://www.Newegg.com</A>. But if you can't afford that card the 9800Pro is a very good top-of-the-line card and is only about $200

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro is compatable with all AGP speeds/voltages, very powerfull, and relatively inexpensive.
