AGP 4X

I am considering replacing my mobo with a mobo that has an AGP 4x slot. My current graphics card is a VooDoo 3 2000 AGP 2x. Will this work in an AGP 4x slot?

Yes. AGP 4x is backwards compatible with AGP 2x and 1x.

You might also want to note that the difference from 2x to 4x AGP is very minimal.

Tom did an excellent indebt discussion of AGP 1x,2x and 4x with multiple tests. Outstanding read to understand AGP and the different configurations. Maybe a little bit old but as true today as when he composed the article. Highly recommended!!!!
