I've been looking into getting a new MB and had decided on a Gigabyte model when I read a article that the rumor was that NVidia's next gen graphics card was going to be a AGP 8X card.

I also noticed a banner ad for a card made by Xabre called the Xabre400 which is also AGP 8X.

My question is, are there any MBs out there that support Intel CPUs that come with AGP 8X support?

Thanks.

Well, I don't see AGP 8X offering any significant performance improvements over AGP 3x for at least the next 18 months. The current fastest AGP4x cards use almost 3/4 of their available bandwidth, from what I can see, it will probably be about 2 generations of cards down the line before AGP4x is fully utilized. Then, if history is any indication of progress, the third generation from now will offer about a 3% gain with AGP8x, still nothing to worry about. The Fourth generation of cards from now will probably offer about a 15% increase using AGP8x. But each generation of cards is established at 6 month intervals, so that would be roughly two years.
