AGP bus clock speeds

i relise everyone say the clock speed of a agp bus is 66.66 mhz...however...agp standards jump from 1x-2x-4x-8x...the bus frequency stays the same? does the bus bus goes from a 32 to a 64 to a 128 bit bus (therefore increasing bandwith without increasing clock speed)?

i am basically wondering for example if agp 2x really runs 66mhz or if it really runs 133mhz...

If i put my k6 in a Ferrari it would be faster than your your pentium 4 or Athlon XP :tongue:
