Hi, I just noticed that my Radeon 9000 is running on 2X AGP.
After trying to change it to 4X AGP on my ASUS A7PRO mobo, it always reverts back to 2X.

So far I have updated the drivers for both the Radeon and mobo, and even tried that unofficial patch on tweaktown.com

Any help ?

System info:
Win98SE
Asus A7PRO (KT133, with AWARD BIOS)
256MB PC133 RAM
Radeon 9000 64MB DDR
Motorola 56K
SB Vibra 128

I also have mb with kt133 chipset. Its the reason why agp runs 2x. Via kt133 is faulty and instable on 4x speed.

Your drivers probably detects faulty chipset and revert back to AGP 2x.

I would recommend upgrading your motherboard.
(my is Abit KT7)
Is your system stable anyway?

That board and card are slow enough that they should work fine and AGP2x, without noticeable performance decrease. The best solution, a board upgrade, is not needed.
