I've checked every category, sub-category and sub-sub-category in the BIOS for this motherboard.
I cannot find where you can change the SATA into an AHCI mode.

Can anyone help me-I just bought a Samsung 830 SSD and i know it would be better to have it in AHCI mode but i annot find it anywhere in the BIOS settings.

Help please!

You will be able to use the SSD. However it won't work as well as if it were on an AHCI motherboard because it will not have trim support. The drive will probably have another but slower housekeeping method. You probably won't notice the difference.

Ah, thank you.

I know this is completely different question but say...
I have windows installed on the SSD already, but i upgrade my mobo & cpu, i know i have to completely reinstall windows again to avoid confusion, bsod, etc.
Shall i just insert my windows disk, get to the point where you choose which drive to install it on, and use the format option there to wipe it and there will no trace of the previous installed programs/OS on that drive?
