[SOLVED] AIO Cooling for 3950X

I am currently building a machine for both work and occasional gaming. My work often involves lots of multiprocessed data processing workloads so I'm getting a 3950x. I need this more for the number of threads than the speed of the chip. I already have an H100i from my old rig but I saw some posts advising against using it with a 3950x. Some were saying it wouldn't run as fast as it possibly can and some thought it might run too hot. Is the AIO a viable option if I were to limit the clock speed or something?

Solution
Seing how you say it's for work I would spend more for a better cooler for it regardless if it's air or aio and put the h100 on the shelf know you may never need it for a backup.

But

Depending on how you have your case fan configuration and maybe depending on what thermal paste you use, you maybe be able to get by at the cost of some higher temps.

1 more thought you could also replace the stock corsair fans with a pair of these
