I just purchased the following components for my build.

Ryzen 9 3900x
X570 AORUS ELITE
G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Series 16GB - 3600 Mhz CAS 16
Samsung 970 EVO Plus
EVGA 1000 GQ, 80+ Gold
RTX 2080 Super
Thermaltake Thermaltake Core P3

I know Ryzen 9 comes with its prism cooler, is it sufficient? No i wont be overclocking at all and not doing 5 hours of benchmarking crap, i do stream on twitch and play some light weight games. I would like to keep the NOISE level to bare minimum so that is why i am concerned about the prism cooler.

As you can see my case is OPEN AIR. If the cpu is going to idle at high and the prism is loud, i will be annoyed since my mic will capture the fan noise. I am willing to invest in a cooler that is stylish for my case and is very quite and reliable.

Again im not going to OC this, i just want cooler temps and quite performance. I did look at this deal on amazon:
DEEPCOOL Castle 360 RGB for $159.

I havnt heard this name brand and not sure how legit this is. Compared to the other 360mm coolers this seems half price. Any comments?

Okay i have made up my mind after running on stock cooler, i will go for custom loop but not right now since ill have to sell a kidney for it. Will wait few months and try to get parts one by one. The biggest challenge isnt going to be putting it together since i can watch tutorials and stuff but the parts again.

If any one has a recommendation or website that has a guide for first timers, that would help. On top of my head i guess i will need the flowing:
  • Tubs (pipes?)
  • Radiator
  • Fans
  • Pump
  • Reservoir?
  • Joints for tubes?
  • Liquid
  • Special tools for connecting this?

Holy smokes, i went to this website and tried a config. Man this is more expensive than i thought!

You're going to want to do a lot of research before embarking on doing a full, custom watercooling loop mate. The best advice I can give you would be to speak to people like Jayztwocents on Youtube/Twitter, as well as people like PC Jesus over at GamersNexus. They can definitely point you in the right direction with regards to tutorial videos and whatnot. Personally, I went with an Alphacool 360mm AIO.

There's no fancy RGB on it, but it is expandable, so you can watercool a GPU later if you want, and importantly it's only €110 which is an absolute bargain compared to the idiotically priced garbage from some lesser known companies. It also has a copper block, and a copper radiator, so unlike most AIO's that have copper blocks and aluminium radiators, the Alphacool stuff won't degrade over time.

Im just a simple human, but as somoene mention above, I I were you, I would try the Wratith Prism first but, this is the important part, go into BIOS and disable all PBO and XFR and autoOC crappy options you find (PBO is not the same as PB, you can leave PB on).

Then go and try your PC, run some game and stream and see if your mic can take the noise the cooler does.

After all if the case is going to be mounted on the wall, behind your desk, and be like what?, 2 or 3 feets away from the mic, you may be able to make it work.

Cheers

Or go hybrid. The fractal design Celcius S36 uses standard g1/4 fittings. You could swap out the stock fans for rgb of your choice, and when adding the hybrid gpu it'll bolt right to the 360mm rad. Just top off the fluid.

Or go with an all in one kit like the A360G from EK.

The Cooler Master 360mm is supposed to be good and I currently use the Corsair H150i Pro which I can highly recommend. It is very quiet with the Mag Lev fans, cools fantastically and will more than do a good job and as importantly, just install and forget.

Opps looks like you have gone with the H115i Platinum!

I'm confused by everyone here speaking about water coolers when OP clearly stated NO OVERCLOCKING. The prism cooler itself is alright, but it does make some noise. Not because the fan is bad (it's not great, but quiet enough in idle), but because the radiator isn't exactly something made for highest end builds.

Water coolers are only a go to when you want overclocking; otherwise, the pumps generate noise as well and the fans that come with them are often complete garbage. You might also get a horrible whining sound if bubbles somehow get trapped inside (happened to my old AIO).

Large air coolers are the most quiet, only having fans to deal with. Coolers such as Noctua NH-D15 are an overkill, but the sheer size of its radiator will keep the fans at low/medium speed on stock.

I would recomend a Be Quiet! cooler as they are some of the more silent solutions I've seen. Dark Rock Slim is a good choice as it is extremelly silent and cools quite well.

if noise is your concern as rubix pointed out you can go with the be quiet! DR4P or the noctua alternatives i have had experience with the Dark rock 4 pro and it was great and id recommend it to anyone who wants a good air cooler. its quiet and no maintenance needed at all aside from the occasional removal of dust.

custom water loops are tedious imo hence why i dont really want to try it out for the maintenance required but they are a great hobby much like building gunpla.

AiO are for aesthetics its why i changed to one since i want my pc to look better, i personally favor NZXT for AIO be it the x52/62/72.

but if you want to look at custom water cooling loop as someone pointed out jayztwocents or gamers nexus are good places to ask questions or just look up jayz usual water cooling guides he puts up, but if you dont want to overclock i really dont see the need to go custom loop but its up to you in the end anyway.

Why does everyone automatically assume that liquid cooling must require you overclock, or if you overclock, you must use a liquid cooler?

Good air coolers can also accomplish both. There isn't a requirement for any of these configurations.
I absolutely Agree.
I have OC'd every CPU I have ever owned, since the late 1980's and I have never used a liquid cooler.
I like the absolute reliability and almost no need for maintenance of an quality air cooler.

I have run custom watercooling on every build I have done in the past 17+ years. Sometimes I overclocked, others I did not.

Air coolers still require maintenance...you have to clean out the dust that accumulates on the cooling fins. Same thing with a watercooling radiator.

Watercooling coolant doesn't have to be changed that often, depending on what is being used and the anti-corrosive and anti-microbial properties it has.

They do need to have the dust blown or wiped off once or twice a year but with a can of compressed air that takes me about a minute or two to open the case and blows the dust out.
And they can last forever or as long as you have a CPU they will work on.
I have a CM Hyper N520 on an i7-870 that I use as an HTPC and it has been on that CPU since 2009/2010.
I did remove it once about 4-5 years ago and apply fresh thermal paste though which took me about 10-15 minutes..

Yep, canned air or a PC dusting tool makes this task much simpler. I am personally looking at something like this for long-term to remove the need for disposable canned air. https://www.amazon.com/DataVac-Elec...2661618011&rnid=2661617011&s=gateway&sr=8-182
