I’m building in a Silverstone SG13. This is my first ITX build but also my first build where the motherboard is oriented on the bottom of the case, flat as opposed to horizontal like on most cases.

I decided to go with an AIO since there’s limited airflow in the case and it’s a bit cramped. My question is in relation to how the AIO should be positioned.

I know on regular atx builds where the motherboard is horizontal, if you’re going to front mount a AIO you have the tubes facing down towards the bottom of the radiator.

But since the motherboard is the lower then the radiator would this compromise the pump? How would I mount it? With the tubes facing towards the bottom of the case; adjacent with the cpu? Or should I mount it sideways so the tubes are perpendicular to the cpu?

Tubes down may be marginally better but it's top fluid level that counts most. In no case it should be lower than pump top as it might leave pump dry.
