What direction should the pump tubes be facing? Upside, downside, or horizontal

What about the radiator? Should the side with the tubes be up or down? (I'm mounting the rad vertically)

Depends on how much room you have to accommodate the pump and tubes, if plenty then any way you would like, unfortunately due to small motherboard I have had to mount my pump upside down with the radiator at the front (tubes at the top) but haven't run into any issues thus far, aslong as the copper plating is on the cpu with good contact and nice spread of thermal paste then all is well :)

Usually there will be an installation guide with recommendations, so I would start there.

Typically it is tubes on the radiator down (reservoir at the bottom essentially) and the orientation of the pump and its tubes doesn't matter. Just go for whatever puts the least stress on them.

In theory, it shouldn't matter, however AIOs are not completely devoid of air pockets meaning air locks from bubbles can exist. If you want to try and prevent this, mount so the tubes are at the bottom or facing down (such as a radiator mounted on the 'ceiling' or top of a case).

This isn't a 100% foolproof method, but it reduces the chances a bit. It also isn't 100% that other mounting orientations are that much worse by comparison...just minimal. Airlocks can be dislodged by tapping on the pump head, tapping the tubing and rotating the radiator with the pump running.
