Hello,

I have an ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 and a Ryzen 5 5600. I'm looking to upgrade my RAM from 2x4GB to 2x16GB. I was looking at Corsair Vengence ram but I saw in this post that it doesn't really work well with Ryzen. Is this true? And if so, what do you guys think of these ram kits instead? Maybe you guys could suggest some ram kits too.

Also, I have a mini-tower PC case. Do I need low-profile RAM or is it just nice to have?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You can technically work with any kit of ram, just make sure you're on the latest BIOS version for your motherboard. Prior to the BIOS version that had 1.2.0.5 A.G.E.S.A code(I think), you needed to work with ram kits that had Samsung's B-die on them or if you were working with G.Skill ram kits, you had to look for Flare X series or the Neo range of kits from their lineups.

Either of those kits should be a drop in solution. I'm not located in Italy(using the .IT extension from the Amazon URL's you've provided) so I can't tell which one's cheaper.

I have a mini-tower PC case.
Make and model of your case? Make and model of your cooler?

My case is the Cooler Master Masterbox Q300L and I'm using my stock CPU cooler.

That case was met with the worst of reviews. It's essentially an oven to cook your parts inside. To also add, the motherboard you're working with has a lackluster VRM design, coupled with the fact that the Ryzen 3000 and 5000 series stressed the VRM area of the motherboard(due to their higher power draw). You should change the case to something that has better airflow.

That being said, you shouldn't run into any clearance issues with the stock cooler.
