Solution nukemaster Aug 28, 2013 It is not recommended. many fan controllers even at max do not get to a full 12 volts and sometimes they are pulsing the power. If you do not want to connect it to your board use a molex to 3 pin connector. This is not to say that some users have not done it to slow the pump a bit.
