Airport scanning effects on SSD

This is probably a dumb question but I was wondering if airport scanners will affect an SSD drive. I do not want to test this :pt1cable: so hopefully someone knows the answer! thanks.

I think you are the first person to ask that question. I surf quite a few web sites and forums. I can't recall ever reading any information about it.

I did a little research. The ssd flash technology is similar to USB flash technology and cell phones. Shielding for an SSD is better than it is for USB drives and cell phones so airport screening should not be a problem.

Solution
Ancient history: I lost the memory in my Palm Pilot when I left it in my pants pocket during a chest X-ray. Other than that, airport-intensity radiation has never harmed anything but my dignity. HDDs, SSDs, cameras, the flash drive with my court records (not criminal, wiseguy).
