I am looking to upgrade my alienware aurora r8 with a $500-700 gpu. The space is limited so right now I have a msi ventus 2x rtx 4060ti in it. My case is a huge limitation but if anyone knows a good gpu, please recommend.

My case is a huge limitation
No, it's not.

PC case has 5x PCI slots, making ample space even for the fattest of GPUs (e.g quad-slot RTX 5090).

Length wise, you can remove front intake fan and get more clearance that way.

E.g R8 with 2x RTX 3090 GPUs + front intake fan:

What would be limitation, is the PSU. Since beefier GPU needs higher wattage PSU.

wont a 5.1 inch high gpu hit the psu when it closes?
The source i linked, says that 4.8" high GPU fits. Also there's pic of possible clearance issue;

Chop that piece off to get enough clearance.

Also, you could chop the entire dangling metal piece off, that is below PSU. It only houses the side panel release switch, but without that part, there's no need for that switch since latch would also be gone. Also, it would give better airflow in otherwise cramped (and way over-engineered) PC case.
