I have. Delta has a really nasty habit of being honest. Most of their Bronze units could actually be classified as Silver, or even Gold in some cases, except failing by 1 small percentage point. So they call them Bronze instead. They'll also do stupid stuff like take a 600w peak psu and lable it as 480w, continuous at 40°C. And the soldering is generally pretty excellent. But that was years ago, before Alienware was even a thing and quality psus were Seasonic or...... There was a long period of time back in the late 80's to 90's where a Dell psu was better than most 'brand name' psus like BFG etc.I have never seen an alienware PC with a sufficient wattage PSU for longevity,
The prebuilt is a hose job. 512GB SSD, way underpowered psu, DDR4, a gpu that gets waxed by the 4070 Ti, a cpu that gets clobbered by Intel's locked 12 gen i7 cpu, a cheap case with horrible airflow and no mention of the motherboard.Dear OP.
As you can see by the way this thread has gone, many people think they know what's best but only to them because bias typically takes hold quite easily.
You are being bombarded with a lot of information and a lot of choices perhaps, so I'll just say do what you want at the end of the day.
Do your own research into what components will do what for you at what financial cost and make your decision for yourself that you can feel confident in.
As it stands, I personally don't run a build using the latest and greatest and I built half of it using second hand components followed by buying everything else when it was on a good sale, and for me, it's perfectly fine with modern gaming at 1440p, especially since I have access to DLSS for anything that wants to have trouble performing at the level I would like it to and that it honestly should with my hardware config (looking at you CP2077).
So do whatever at the end of the day, and try to not let any of this bickering between others get in the way. Feel free to cherry pick the different components provided from different lists in here to put together your own list, or go with completely different components all together if you really wanted to.
Heck, you could even go so far as to just buy the prebuilt with those discounts and just use it as is just to keep it all simple.
