I just installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit on my Alienware M14x R1. However, there appears to be several issues which may be driver related. The first issues are that I actually am missing the drivers for the ethernet and WLAN (Bigfoot Killer 1103). Unfortunately, I am unable to locate Windows Vista drivers for these devices, I'm forced to use a USB wifi dongle right now.

I noticed some software such as DriverDetective claims to have found the drivers I need. Is that kind of software worth it? It'll cost me $30 to use it to download the drivers I need. I can't seem to find these drivers anywhere else.

The other issue I'm experiencing is I don't have the option to put Windows Vista into sleep mode. I can't set it in power options and on the start menu, the option to go to sleep mode is greyed out. Am I missing some kind of driver or is this another issue?

Most of those drivers worked, however some of them such as the WiFi card driver didn't work.

ok, you can try running it in compatibility mode vista - I had to do this with a few drivers for my motherboard in Windows 8. Also if the driver can be opened in WinRAR and then extracted it would be more beneficial as you can go directly to the appropriate setup.exe and assign the compatibility mode.
