Hello all. After I ran a Windows 7 Repair Disk on my Alienware M15x, I found that my screen was displaying images in a blurry way. So I checked around and looked at my drivers to see if they were up to date and found that there were quite a few (7 to be exact) drivers not installed on my system that were before I ran the repair. The drivers not installed are listed under "Other Devices," and are named (according to my computer) as follows--
-Base System Device
-Base System Device
-Base System Device
-Ethernet Controller
-IEEE 1394 Controller
-Unknown Device
-Unknown Device
Needless to say, I'm rather confused as I've never had to deal with drivers before. However, I still have my Alienware M15x Resource DVD, and it gives me a list of drivers for my system, but my computer won't accept (I'm not sure if that's the right word, basically the CD will go in for a few seconds and will come back out) the disk. So I've instead put the DVD into my Aurora and will try to get the drivers from there. But the problem is, the DVD gives me all these option for drivers and I'm not sure what the right one is for my system. I pretty much don't understand a lot of what I'm supposed to do, so I'm hoping someone on this site who is more knowledgeable than me can walk me through this. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Oh, and I know that the drivers for my computer are supposed to be on my manufacturer's website, but I'm not sure what drivers I really need because I don't know what the hardware is.
