Alienware x51 case swap

So last year i baught an Alienware x51. it was a very good pc and had no problems with this but with the newer games my FPS begin to go lower. So i want to move it to a new case. but since i'm new to pc building i don't know what case i need to take or if i have to get a new power supply. You don't need to replace any other components if you just want a new case. However, I would take extra care in handling your components when you transfer them across. There have been many cases (no pun intended 😛) of people who end up with a dead PC after switching cases. I'm not sure why this is so common, or if those people are doing anything wrong, but either way just be extra careful because there is a statistically significant chance that it might happen.

Also, if you are looking for better performance / more fps out of your games, then switching your case will not help you at all unless you're getting thermal throttling due to bad air flow. The case for the most part is just for looks, it is the stuff inside that will give you all your performance gains.
