I assume you are referring to the LGA 2011, X79, and SB-E Sandy Bridge Extreme. If so they are essentially the replacements to the LGA 1366 / X58. The differences are 32-lanes of PCIe, Quad Channel DDR3, no iGPU support, 6-core CPUs.

November 14, 2011 is the release date.
