Would anyone have any insight on how to troubleshoot all 3 of uor domain
controllers (active directory) crashing at the same time every couple of
weeks. There is NOTHING in the event log leading up to the crash and they all
crash within seconds of each other. If the answer is to run Perf Mon in trace
mode, which counters are most effective in a case like this. Each server has
plenty of RAM, CPU, and disk space so I know those counters wouldnt tell me
anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you placed each on a separately fused, protected electrical
circuit to eliminate the obvious?

Yes. These boxes share the same UPS as several other boxes and none of the
other machines crash.

Are there any scheduled tasks for the servers such as a virus or malware
scan, backup job, or software update scheduled to kick off at that time? Are
the servers configured to capture a memory dump? If you have a specific
pattern of the crashes, try running a network capture to see if something is
coming across the network and crashing the systems. Also, you might boot one
to Safe Mode or Directory Services Restore mode 5 or 10 minutes before they
should crash and see if the problem happens there also. Does the same server
always crash first, or does that seem to vary?
