Question ALL Media Players Crashing During Video Playback- PLZ HELP!

WMP recently became problematic and crashes during video playback (blank screen, but playback arrow is visible and progress bar goes to 50%). I then discovered that all the other players are having the similar issue.

WMP works fine with music library.

Oddly, WMP it is NOT LISTED in the Control Panel under "Programs and Features."

Please help!

ISSUE IS WITH ALL VIDEOS: Self-produced videos using Cyberlink PowerDirector, videos downloaded from iphone, ipad, PC, etc

Quick scan is clean,--I'm now doing FULL SCAN...

Sounds like there might be some video codec DLL that is corrupted or missing. Try sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth from an elevated terminal window.

Have you tried playing those videos with anything other than WMP? Like VLC?

I've tried all media players, including VLC...
