All of my peripherals aren't working properly

I have a USB extension hub which has my keyborad and mouse but and my headset is plugged directly into the PC. When i'm in a game my headset will go on an endless cycle of just disconnecting and recconecting. It is recognised in my playback devices and I can see it popping up and dissapearing over and over again. My keyboard will randomly press keys when i'm not pressing anything and my mouse will sometimes dart all over the screen in some sort of electric spazm. I have tried other USB ports and I have tried updating all of my drivers but it still happening. This doesn't happen unless I have a game open but sometimes there will be little problems like my mouse double clicking when i only click once when im on the desktop. I really hope this isnt because they are all broken because they aren't even that old (the oldest thing is my keyboard which is at most 2 years).

Steps to narrow down possibilities:

Remove the hub and try your mouse and keyboard plugged directly into the system. Do your peripherals work correctly?

Still a problem? Unplug the headphones and uninstall the driver. Does your system work normally after rebooting?

Are you using any additional programs to run the KB and mouse? If so, does the problem still exist running on the bare MS drivers without the utility software?

So I plugged all of the peripheals stright into the motherboard and the problems with my keyboard and mouse haven't occured yet. However my headset was still disconnecting and recconecting whenever I opened Injustice 2 (or other games) so I disconnected it, unisnatalled the driver and restarted my PC. I tried opening Injustice 2 again and it was still having the same problem but the mouse and keyboard seem to be fine.

Also, I am using drivers for both my mouse and keyboard if that helps.

At this point a lack of sufficient USB power is a strong consideration. You may require a POWERED usb hub that draws power from a wall outlet. You can also get a usb adapter cable that draws power from two separate usb ports, but that is less likely to work.

Could this be fixed by getting a new power supply? or maybe I could plug all of my power cables from the computer into the mains instead of using an extension.

If you think that getting a powered USB hub is the best way then could you reccomend me a good model

Doubtful a new power supply is the answer unless you have droop on the line. While power delivery from the PSU or motherboard could be at fault, replacing those would be a lot pricier than a powered usb hub, and still may not fix the dropout issue you are experiencing.

No specific model recommendations. Reading reviews recommended. Where to source it from depends on your country. Amazon, newegg, etc would be a possible starting point.
