All sound devices are working but computer doesnot give the uotput soundwhy?

i have checked all the sound setting and device and computer says it is properly working but computer doesnot give output sound what is the problem???plz can somebody solve this problem...........

What are you using for audio and how do you connect it?

easy way to test output is play a mp3 file in repeat mode and start with the green audio port on your stock mb with a pair of headphone. (also check in the audio mixer you dont have the speakers on mute.). the last thing to check is that you dont have the audio chipset turned off in the mb bios.
