so i got my pc on first of january, and i tried to play some games,
minecraft ran excellent with average 900 fps on 9 chunks and 300 fps on 32 chunks.
i also have battlefield 4 and 1, i was gonna get battlefield 5, but there's a big problem,
for some reason battlefield 4 is getting 45 fps on ultra and 50 on low, pretty much the same, which is weird because my dads pc is running at like 120fps avg on his pc.
He has an i5 4690k and a gtx 970
i have a 980 ti with a ryzen 5 2600, i am getting really frustrated because i was supposed to get so much more performance, but i dont understand anything of it, it stutters and is unplayable.
ive tried playing on fortnite epic settings and i get like 40 fps whilst its supposed to be getting 100.
i have downloaded the latest drivers but im really frustrated because its not running how i hoped it would run, can anyone please help me? It also shuts down automatically when playing it for 20 minutes.
System specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 w/stock cooler
16gb of corsair LPX ram 2666MHz (running at 2133mhz)
KFA2/GALAX 980Ti Hall of fame Edition
MSI B350 Mortar Arctic
500Watt be quiet power 11 80+ gold
my gpu temp is always 30-40
and it uses 30% when playing games
cpu uses sometimes 17%

That's a power hungry card. If it's shutting down it could be that the power supply can't handle it. A possible test is this: If you do nothing on your computer except browse online, play some music, or just let it sit idle on your desktop, does it still shut down? If the shutdown only happens when you're gaming that points to the power supply or the videocard.

That's because gaming puts a full load on the videocard, so the videocard draws maximum power from the power supply. If your power supply had problems, or isn't powerful enough, then something will happen. OR if the videocard itself has problems, like overheating, then something will happen. If you're not gaming then your videocard is not working hard and so it will not draw a...

Same goes for the CPU,playing a game will make it run hotter and it might be shutting down to prevent the CPU from frying.
You should monitor CPU clocks and temperatures while gaming,if you get high clocks it shuts down due to temps even if they show as safe the system shuts down before they become dangerous.
