Now I need to decide on a brand. I have the following comparison at
pricegrabber.com. They are all about the same price range and about
the same product. Any positive/negative reviews of any of these
brands? Drivers, utilities, support, extras, etc?

eVGA
XFX
Gainward
MSI
Chaintech

The following link has the comparison chart:

What about 6800LE? Much more performance for the same money IMHO...

I hadn't heard of this one. How much do these run and who makes them?

It is 8 pipelines version of 6800 (regular 6800 has 12, 6800GT and Ultra
16).

Try google. There are some reviews and benchmarks.

What brands would you recommend?

And how would I purchase one if they are only sold to OEM's?

Have you check on the brand / make etc of the item and see if it available
from your source?
And why you think the item is only from OEM. BTW, what item did you choose?

In fact, I have spotted only MSI and Gainward... Gainward is much cheaper
and I think more available, as it is presented on Gainward site.

I think they will inevitable come to retail channels too... I can buy it
without problem, but I am not living in U.S....

Oh ok. I get it now. Thanks, I will probably get the 5900xt only
because I want it now :) But the one you recommend does look better.

I ended up getting this one: http://tinyurl.com/3t7vm the price was
comparable to the 5900xt models after the mail in rebate.

A week ago I bought the PNY Verto FX5900SE (same as the XT) for $170, plus a
$20 mail-in rebate.

I read somewhere that the 6800LE was only shipping to OEM's at least
in the United States.

Hmmm.

If you're looking for the best performance for your money, then you should
be looking to buy an ATi 9800 Pro - they offer a chunk more performance than
the 5900XT, for almost the same cost.
