Question Alt-Tab works, but various Alt-Key symbols don't

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all safe and enjoying your summer.

For the past 12 months I've had an issue with my PC, and by now its driving me crazy enough to ask for help. I have been dealing with this by having bookmarked various symbols (@ especially) so that I could copy paste it whenever I needed the symbol. (Usual binding is alt+2 for @)

Basically as headline states, I am able to use Alt+Tab just fine, but I can now use any alt symbols ranging 1-9. I am using Danish Keyboard settings but I same issue happens if I change it to US keyboard. I have also tried Alt+Shift.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

Did you bind it to Alt +2 as unless that is the default on Danish keyboards, the default key to press is shift + 2 (on US keyboards anyway).

have you tried another keyboard?

Hi Colif,

Yes I have, I know this because if I activate the On-Screen Keyboard (Ease of Access Keyboard) and hit the Alt+Gr, @ will show up.

However, whenever I hit the AltGr+2 or use the On Screen keyboard, my designated typing field is lost (It stops "idling" in the text field I have chosen).

I have also tried another keyboard, and tried starting my system with Safe Mode. Nothing enables me to use AltGr + Any key from 1-9.
