I have just recently bought an ax4bs-v motherboard for a 478 P4 1.6 GHz CPU. Upon powering up, within 10 seconds, I get alternating beeps. I have verified the seating of the chip, heat sink and the components: the same thing happens again. Then I removed all cards, cleared the CMOS: same thing happens again. I have also replaced the dimms: same thing.
I can't find anything anywhere that identifies these beeps (that almost sound like an ambulance), and I am at a lost as to where the problem may lie. Does anyone have any suggestions? - The most that Aopen was able to suggest at this point was to verify the seating of the components.
