I'm looking for a replacement for my GPU. I had to return it because of problems with artifacts. Due to the current lack of graphics cards, especially from the rx 400/500 series, I can't find a new graphics card to buy.

I have a freesync monitor and would prefer a AMD Graphics Card but I can't see any difference with it on/off to be honest.

I've been looking at pretty much every alternitive there is, even lower tier GPUs in crossfire but I can't find an alternitive that I actually want to spend money on.

The gpu I returned cost a bit less than 300 euro but the plan was to buy a rx 570 for around 250 euro. The stock went down on those really fast when people started using them for Ethereum mining so I never got a chance to buy one.

Is it worth buying a 1060 6gb for about 350 euro and say goodbye to freesync?
Or is it better to wait for the new rx vega cards, if the pricing on those are around the same as a 1060 6gb?
Are there any other decent alternitives I can think about?
The plan was to keep my build below 1000 euro but I've had to spend alot more and give up on some stuff I wanted. But atm I'm almost feeling like buying a 1070, returning the monitor, buying a gsync monitor and be done with it but that would almost double my budget.

GPU performance wise, the FTX-1060 6GB would be a good alternative to the 470, 480, 570, or 580. Unfortunately, it also has been caught up in the Ether mining craze... as has the GTX-1070 (which has no equal atm, at least until Vega arrives.) Also, unfortunately, Vega is probably seated above the RX-580 in capability (replacing the older Fury models. MAYBE we might get a 590 out of it too, but it's too early to tell.)

You're probably in for a wait now, unfortunately. unless you go RX-560 or GTX-1080Ti (possibly the 1060 3GB if they aren't caught up too AND you can live with it being a gimped GPU (in comparison to the 1060-6GB.)
i wouldn't say goodbye to freesync, i would wait or get a rx560 at least, it is half of the rx570 but freesync should help abit there

the problem with vega is we don't know what price it will get, i expect it to cost 600 dollars/euros

so it is not a direct replacement for your rx470, at all

also who knows, it could be worse when it arrives, it might be even better than current rx on ethereum mining, meaning we will never see one, amd does surprise people like this 😀

The thing is rx 560 is not even enough when in crossfire, the rx 470 was pretty much minimum to run the games I play.

Yes that could work actually and then I won't have to worry to much about freesync, atleast atm.
