AM2 plus

Hi,

My system configuration is as below
-- AM2+ motherboard M3A78-EM from Asus,
-- AMD Athlon 7750 dual core processor
-- 4 GB RAM
-- Onboard HD 3200 graphics

I want to play the latest RPG's (Dungeon siege 3, dragon age 2, fable 3, witcher 2) on medium details. Which graphics card should i go in for.

Earlier i was thinking of AMD HD 6670 but that only goes in PCI 2.1 x 16 slots. Now i am thinking of nvidia GTS 450 since that is compatible with PCI 2.0 x 16 slot.

Pls advise what card should i go in for, so that i can keep on playing RPG atleast with this rig for another 2 years.

I'm unfamiliar with your CPU, but I'm pretty sure it'll bottleneck stronger cards, a 5670 512mb should do you well, it could max those games out at low resolutions.

That is a good card for that money although ill say this I dont think earthier that card or that CPU will max out any of those games at any resolution the 5670 is just slightly above the recommended video card and the cpu is actually closer to the minimum requirements then any thing else. I would still say that Halo Don's recommendation is still sound though.

Edit: you might be able to run Fabel 3 and maybe dragon age that high but i know that the witcher 2 can be a bit of a pain.
