Was it a wireless controller? Or did you take the cord out before you took the picture?

in the picture you can see the original SNES controller at the top, it has had the insides of the other USB controllet put into it.
at the bottom is just the casing left of the cheap nasty USB PC controller,
with no insides, that's why there's no cable.

Woah! That's friggin' awesome! Looks like a Super Famicon case, and a good use of one at that!
 
Just built an NES pc, used a zotac itx motherboard, works perfectly, using it right now. Heres some pictures
