Would be interesting to see where the BlackBerry Playbook display falls in. Always thought it was a rather good display but lately it seems everyone's picking up the pace.

Only thing I like about the Fire HD is better speakers and micro HDMI

They all make good devices and how you use them,will indeed change your battery life.I own a kindle ,kindle firehd and a 2nd gen Ipad.Battery life and usage a big factor when chosing them.My own decision to stay away from the nook is only based on BN and the company woes they are having.My only advice would be get one to your liking,but remember it is electronic like a computer.Models and features will change often so buy what you like best and can afford.The ipad my wife uses for home tasks and shopping,and the kindle gets used and and ebook reader and the fire hd a portable movis and entertainment center for on the go.I have yet to run into a battery issue with any of the and they all get used close to daily.for those of you that dont have the funds for more than one,make a list of your needs and buy the one that fits your needs.
