AmD +3700 or Amd X2 +3800

Hey guys I need 2 know which processor will perform well, I know that The x2 is a substantial chipfro multitasking but what about games? Maybe a +3700?
k8n neo4 PLatinum
1gb Ballistix pc 4000
Antec Neo He 550 Watt
X-fi Xtreme music
and a x1900 xtx

Will any of these processors create a bottleneck for my gpu?
Is there any performance difference between the +3700 and the X2 +3800, if its about the same then I will happily stick w/ the +3700, Im very tight on $$$, but if the x2 +3800 will outperform the +3700 by ALOT the the X2 it is. My rig is strickly goint 2 B 4 gaming only.

For games I would go with the 3700+ Sandy for sure and OC it to 2.6ghz!!! I have one and it does the little multitasking that I do without a problem...so if you arent burning cd's and playing 2 games while listening to music and surfing the web I would go with the 3700+!!!

more and more games are supporting multithreading so the x2 within a year would pay off big time.

For a few bucks more you can get an opteron 165 or even a 170 :lol:
Super stable, and extremely overclockable.
Opteron 165 at stock speeds scores higher on 3dmark05 than the X2 3800.

Stick with the 3700, Ever since dual core was a twinkle in amds eys i was hearing about multithreaded games coming out, and you know what i am still waiting and my guess will be waiting for a while.

I have a 3700 with 1900xt and am very happy with it, even with a esc kn1 board.
I used to have a 3800x2 with a ecs board K8T890 and was very dissapointed in its performance Upgrade wise from a p4 3ghz.
