Hello,
Today I've had an issue of my gpu starting to crash to a black screen then not coming back on. Sounds play after it crashes but I get no display. I have already done ddu and reinstalled drivers, and still this problem persists. I'm on driver version 24.12.1 and have adrenaline installed. Another quirk I found was that when running games if I lock the fps or my refresh rate to 60 there is no crashing, but if I unlock the frames and my refresh rate the game will run for a bit before the gpu crashes again. For context the first time this crash ever happened to me I was playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 and it crashed when fast traveling and I had to restart my pc. I have to restart manually every time this crash occurs. Right now I'm at 60hz refresh rate and it's been alright. I just want to know if there is any fix to this, and if not, is this a psu issue or a gpu issue?
PSU is a EVGA GT supernova 850w gold plus I've had it for maybe 4 years now give or take. My gpu I bought in 2023 and have been using since.
