I am ruuning it on a asus rog board so it should be a breeze. But no I cant get to a good over clock for the life of me. I cant go above 4.2 with out bumping voltage to over 1.48.... and i got it stable at 4.4 at 1.51.... I had it going at 4.7 for a better part of 5 to 6 months and hit my clear cmos button on acciendent and not cant get anything to stick without super high volts... not sure whats going on. any ideas? no cooling issues either.

Sometimes you're vcore voltage can fluctuate and not hold the desired voltage 100% of the time. (Aka vdroop) That article explains it well, some boards, like my msi 970 gaming, doesn't have that option at all but many boards do.

I forgot to say i was blue screening yesterday and i can only get to 4.2 by going at 1.49 or hight on the volts... i just dont get why all the sudden its an issue

Yeah no that's not normal. Even with my unlucky draw and not good oc board i get 4.2 on 1.425 stable. You said you reset your cmos by accident i would try resetting again if you haven't. Button or jumper + removing the battery. Do both if you can. Something isn't right there. Have you done the reset like that again?

Yes I've reset it again and pulled everything and what not. Im not sure ill mess with it again tonight after work and start from scratch again... and post results

I have no idea what it could be then , there is so many variables , if you reset and you did the oc the same way you did last time, i have no clue 🙁 sorry, keep me updated though if you mess around again.
